Whenever I try to delete the installer, I get errors about how the program is in use and can't be delete as a result, even when I open up Windows Task Manager and close everything running under my username. I want to delete it, because it takes Norton Antivirus forever to scan the bloody file.

What's up with this?

I'd guess it's probably in use because Norton AV is scanning it?

Thats my guess... it's several gigs and takes a long time to scan. You'll probably need to reboot to stop the scan and delete the file. Did your game install properly, doesn't sound like it would under these conditions.

Heh. Give me some credit. I'm not that stupid. I'm not trying to delete it why Norton Antivirus is scanning. I'm just trying to delete it so that it won't take forever to scan.

I'm haveing the same problem with not being able to deleate the damn installer. Any one figure this out? I've done every thing I can think of, rebooting, shuting down every thing ( norton ect) that could be useing it.. and still nothing.

Boot in safe mode (press F8 just before Windows starts) and try deleting the file then.

I had a similar problem with a file on win xp. I had to boot in safe mode, command prompt only, brush up on my dos and delete it from the command prompt. It was a pain, but it went away. Hope that helps
