So, I've been picking things up in this game pretty well so far, but one thing is eluding me.

I'm trying to train the Prospecting skill for "quality items only".

I have all of the prereqs. I have enough points to train with, yet it is not listed as a skill I can train. I really don't understand why I can't train it.


Help?

Certain skills are not available on the island. For example, Choice prospecting is not available.

Most if not all skills not available at the Ruins of Silan have one in common: They can't be used effectivly there.

For example:
Harvesting - Prospect for choice materials only/upto choice materials
Choice materials are not available at the Ruins of Silan, since they are racial mats. To craft a Tryker Light Armor Vest you need common materials, like basic or fine materials, or lake choice or excellent materials. Common materials can be found everywhere on the surface of Atys, the racial mats are only found in the corresponding eco system. The Ruins of Silan are a forrest region, so only matis could use racial mats if they were available there
Ranged Combat
For ranged combat you need to be able to craft maximum damage which is only possible with choice or higher grade mats

Correct only Basic and Fine quality mats are available on RoS. Have not tried it but I think you can get up to Gentle extract 50 there. (Someone please confirm or correct this pls since i dislike giving out bad info)...
