Ryzom

Radio-SoR is a player is a player-run web-radio, which now wants to go public. We are looking for DJs (and listeners). A few months ago it already was online, but due to an unlucky incident with the server was taken offline. Now it was back online for a few weeks and is running reliably and stable. Thus i have decided to write this news article to promote it a bit.

Before i come to the meat of it, i will give few mor details:
Radio-SoR is a web-radio-server that is run by me, some of you will know me as xenofur on the forums. It always is broadcasting a 2 hour long music-medley that was put together by Acridiel. This medley was made to fit to ryzom and is there to ensure that there is never silence on the air. Additionally DJs can hop online anytime via winamp and a simple web interface and offer life content. To ensure that people aren't stuck with a DJ that doesn't stream music to their tastes, there are two different stations and more can be added if necessary.

Now there are two crucial points to this: We need more motivated DJs that want to offer life content as well as more listeners that are interested in listening to music that is being broadcasted by their fellow players, while they are playing Ryzom (or working, etc).

If you already have experience with web-radios you can simply go to the Web-Interface and load the url of the station you'd like to lsiten to into your audio player. If this is new to you, you can visit the Radio-Sor-Wiki and find instructions under the topic "Listening".

As for the main topic, I've been missing the old radio so glad to hear its back up and running

if you can talk them into it, i'm all for it.

I briefly did some online radio stuff for an old Vampire LARP but I'm not a fan of VOIP and don't have a headset, so I couldn't really do a call in.

I've done some internet DJ'ing in the past... I've used SAM3, never tried using the winamp plugin. I've been missing the DJ thing for a while... hmmm lol

i'd love to do radio again xenofur , i helped out on a local pirrate-radio station where i live for a couple of years doing various diverse musics. my tastes are pretty varied and eclectic though. we had the old atenna radiowaves thing going i got two old ones and a newer basic mix still on my website
