Greetings, I am Skeith8, AKA Terror

I am currently downloading the game...or rather should I start with introducing myself. I am Skeith8, more widely known as Terrorofdeath8 or simply Terror (which I prefer). I was searching for an MMORPG that would allow me to comfortably roleplay IC without having too much OOC contact with others. While I do OOC sometimes, when in the game, I like to be IC as much as possoble, so I start with this question: Is the concept of playing IC widely used as the style in this RPG? Or is it mostly OOC?

Also, I am thinking of reccommending this game to a friend of mine, who tends to play games alongside me. I was wondering if we needed to be of the same race to stay in contact with each other more easily, or do all races start out inthe same area Nothing is more frustrating than trying to find a friend in a massive landscape.

Another thing I noticed was that this game seems to have gone through an upgrade of sorts that lets a player create scenarios...I was wondering what the extent of the trial version really is like, and if this upgrade applies to trial users as well as paying users.

Thanks for your answers in advance and hopefully I'll see you in the game!

Most people will RP at least a little if you RP at them. IMO this is the best game currently on the market for RP, mainly because the community accepts it more than anything else.

Races start out in different lands but you should be able to get together in short order, just ask for help to trek.

Ring is restricted to tinkering on trial AFAIK, not hosting.

Welcome. :)

With the latest patch, as far as I know, trial players are able to play Ring scenarios created specifically for them...or by other trial players...or something like that.

As for roleplay, I would strongly suggest joining a high-RP guild. One step towards choosing one is to decide what faction your character believes in. Then, depending on what server you end up playing on, review the available RP guilds' websites, contact their representatives, maybe meet them at a gathering or such.

Arispotle's list of guilds

Cho:
Nightsong (neutral)
Divine Indignation (Kamist)

Arispotle:
The Pyr Militia
Order of the Dragonblades
Red Ribbon Army
The Samsara

I would've loved to join if possible, But I'm not on Cho, sorry. I decided to stick with the older server for some weird reason, despite being a n00b. I'm quite enjoying my experience on Atys, however, taking it upon myself to heal others in the heat of battle. Hopefully I can upgrade to a paying account soon, though I don't know if I can or will be able to. I sort of want to wait for my friends to join me in the game.
