Yesterday it was down for less than an hour.. now the server status shows up yellow (locked) which probably means they are booting it.
Hope this doesn't happen too often.

Download
Klients, for up to date server info, for all the newer folk.

Three things:
1) Download Klients, as previously stated.
2) Server crashes seem rare, and are fixed very fast.
3) Every game has crashes periodically, best not to get snide about it.
Thank you and have fun!

I shall not mention a certain game's crashes not named a certain SWG.
*Cough* Oops.

Ryzom servers are rarely down without prior notice, and when it is, as stated before they get them up and running quickly. I have been playing MMORPG's for 6 years, and I have never seen another game as stable as Ryzom.
I would suggest that anyone who is new subscribes to the news alerts on the Ryzom.com website. You'll get advanced warning of scheduled downtimes... and as stated, Klients is the best resource of information relating to downtime.

LOL that brought back memories or *shudders* more like nightmares! But seriously Blue and Andarr are correct Ryzom is by far the stablest game I've played in a long time. You must have just coincidentally hit a small bad patch here. Please don't let the last two incidents be your only basis for leaving the game. In Nevrax's defence they just got the Ring up and running like a week or two ago so there are going to be some bumps in the road while they get thing smoothed out
And like Andarr stated if the servers do go down without prior notice they are back up ASAP! This does not happen with games like *cough* SWG *cough* where it may be a couple of hours befor the servers come back up

OK I can fill in a few blanks here that will help clarify what happened. In the early hours (UK time, late evening US time) on Monday and Tuesday we had two unrelated server glitches. The first issue is fixed and the second is identified and will be resolved imminently. The downtime each time was roughly 50 minutes. I would suggest you download Klients and log in to get real time updates as to whats happening during these rare occasions.
The fact it was two successive evenings is an unfortunate coincidence and one we are all working to make sure does not happen again as it does not reflect the normal levels of stability (stability = me sleeping so is encouraged most vigorously) we experience.
You can download Klients from
here (some people even have fun in here during downtime, try it)
