Controls are a bit iffy

I like the controls in MMO's to be like the controls in FPS's. However, if I'm strafing in Ryzom and I use the mouse to look, my character starts to run in the opposite direction to which I want to go.
Let's say I move forward and strafe right and use the mouse to move my view to the left (simple strafing around a target), I end up running wildly to the right instead of smoothly strafing around my target in an anticlockwise direction :s.
Does anyone know how to remedy this? Or is this the way the game plays?
Either way I think this game's great... just this little niggle is annoying
Thanks!

I think what happens is that while you strafe and use the mouse the client wants the character to go to were you point the mouse. I'm not sure what you want is possible but I'm not ingame so can't try it.

lmbutton controls your view, rmbutton controls character _and_ view. rmbutton also switches strafe on or off depending keyboard strafe status.
no, you cant change mouse behaviour.

"Simple strafing around a target" is very possible in SoR.
Hold down "Forward" "Turn" and RMB at the same time and you can do it.

Thanks... I'll give that a try when I get home from work. I know I fiddled about a bit and couldn't get the results I wanted but it may have been where I had played for a fair few hours solid and was begin to feel the fatigue (Thankfully I have an understanding gf and I can play lots... she plays Pogo practically non-stop :\ So hello fatigue my old chum! I welcome you back with open arms) I can see me playing this game as much as I played WoW when that first came out.

Well binding turn to my Q and E keys worked. I can now strafe around targets but not in the typical FPS way

Just now I have to use A and D to strafe normally and Q and E to strafe when moving around a target
Thanks!
