http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMORPG

I don't see a single mention of Ryzom in there! Bah!!

I am not really big on wiki formatting, so if someone here is more familiar... stick Ryzom in there!! :D

Or a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Saga_of_Ryzom (which could use some updating).

Right... SoR is in Wikipedia, but I didn't see it referenced in the MMORPG entry. A lot of other games like DAoC, WoW, EQ1 & 2, etc are in there, but I never saw mention of SoR... looked twice, did I miss it? I'll skim through again. :)

Okay so we need to add a link from the MMORPG page, but first perhaps we should clean up the Ryzom page? I would be willing to lend whatever writing skills I have to work on it.

I have to agree... the listing for Ryzom is rather bare. Should add some material about the community and flesh out the background a bit, and definitely flesh out the description some.

If you mean in the actual MMORPG entry, it wasn't I just fixed that. Before it said something like "One upcomming trend will be player made content". I changed it to "Currrently the only MMORPG that allows players to create their own content is The Saga of Ryzom. "

I also took out the bit in the Ryzom entry about Saga of Ryzom being innovative because it was the first game to offer players an unlimited trial. That is not correct. EQ2 has done it in the past and I beleive is still doing it.

One thing I can't stress enough is if you are editing these pages, it's important to keep them free of opinion and bias. People go here for information, adding opinions is only going to degrade the entry.

Awesome Raynes, thanks... I haven't played much with Wiki formatting yet, and I didn't feel all that comfortable editing the entry for Ryzom anyway, being relatively new to the game. It seemed a little presumptuous for me to do so, if that makes sense.

I put that last line in bold for emphasis, as it is most important. :)

As I recall, unless something has changed, the EQ2 "Trial of the Isle" is level-capped, island-bound, and time-limited.
