Just wanted to say hello. I have finished downloading the game and am currently patching. Can't wait to get started.

One quick question..

While the patcher is downloading the material, the game is not in full screen. There is a blue windows bar at the top and my bottom tool bar with the start button is still showing.

Is this normal while in the log in and patch screen? Possibly the game will go to full screen mode after the patch is done?

I checked the configuration and I don't have the game in windowed mode.

Any help would be appreciated =)

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the game =)

Thanks for the info, man the patcher takes a while.. I started this process about 6 hours ago! I have had plenty of time to read up on the game while waiting though.

Cya =)

First off, welcome...

and yes, the game does go to fullscreen after login/patching/char selection by default as said, however, you can change window size settings (and others) by selecting game config from the menu on launching. Just FYI. :)

Have a nice stay!

Well I was able to log in and play last night. You were correct it did go to full screen mode =)

Another question: With respect to skills/spells..

Will I be given enough skill points over the course of time to train all skills/spells in a given tree.

In other words, I am worried about picking skills/spells that might not be needed, and at the end of the game will I run out of skill points?

Just a little clarification would be appreciated =)

Everytime you get a level you collect 10 skill points to spend as you wish in the area of the skill you used to get them. Its very hard to get yourself in to a sorry state concerning skill point supply but you can indeed find yourself short early on if you buy the wrong things.

Most people concentrate on the main stanzas (damage/heal/inc dmg/accurate attack etc) depending on which skills your working as well as counterparts to support them and characteristics to upgrade your stats. :)

I guess more along the lines of what I am asking...

When I get to lvl 20 in magic, will I have enough skill points to have everything in magic trained?

And as I progress into defensive magic, will I need to put my skill points into magic to finish the tree.

More to the point, should I save skill points or spend them immediately.

I insofar have been spending them on things that I think will benefit me, at that point in time, without knowing how it will effect me in the future.

Once again thanks for your help =)

No, early on you can never buy _everything_ that could be useful to you, which is why you have to buy the basic things that you need.

Also yes sometimes its worth saving points up for those stages/levels where your able to buy lots of things at once which are useful to you. If you look in your action progression window you'll notice theres gaps in levels where all your really buying is chara upgrades, and then theres a group of useful stuff to buy which you'll want to save for. Also some skills later on such double missiles at level 100 elemental/healing which are expensive and worth saving for...

You don't _have_ to buy things to progress, but it'll get damn slow to level if you don't buy the basic upgrades.

At the other end of the scale when you get much higher level you'll find you have more points than you can spend hehe.

Welcome to Atys!
Hope your experiences are all good here. Seems like your questions have been answered quite professionally. But, like you I was a bit troubled at first until I finally DID listen to folks and realized there was almost no way to nerf my character.
Once again welcome!
