Why? relogging is faster than back to character selection

I would think that Nevrax could make things a little more efficient.
I have found that it is faster for me to log out and relog onto another character than it is to use the back to character selection option.
Why did you make it this way?
Relogging completely is faster even when I get the message that the user is still logged on and have to try a couple times before it accepts the log in.
Does it make any sense to have made a 'shortcut' that is actually longer? (not to me, anyway)
thanks

Might want to post this in the tech support forum, more likely to get an appropriate reply there.

Not everyone has the same machine. I've found it easier and faster for me to go back to the char select screen than to completely relog.
What works best for you, may not always work best for others.

FWIW - takes 60-65 sec to relog and get to character screen, takes 75 seconds to go the route of back to character selection - and I have a fairly new fast machine

more the ease of being able to do it rather than speed maybe your answer

Not everyone has a fairly new fast machine.
Closing out to the character selection is quicker on both of my computers.
Why the heck are you worried about 10-15 seconds in any case?

LOL I wondered the same!
*imagines scramble with a stopwatch to time logging off each time*

I find it quicker to logout completely....I only used the log back to character screen once. Would have been nice to switch quickly, and I am surprised it takes longer because I have 2gb of memory.
*shrug* I have no problem with this because I rarely load the ring anyway..and I have only one char
