I'm a refugee of WoW/EQ2/Horizons/DDO...hm, plenty actually. I've heard about this game when it was going through its Chapter 11 troubles, and actually quite surprised (albeit pleasantly) that it's still around! Currently downloading the free trial and looking forward to learning how to get on in this game as its nothing I've ever seen before really.
Still developing my character as I don't quite understand things yet (and I'm reading the forums voraciously), but looking forward to playtime. Seek Tavenni (once I decide on a race!)

Welcome to Atys, Tavenni!
About the races:
Matis are the noble ones, the live in the forest, and are known for their tinkering with plants.
Fyros are the desert homins, they are the fighters and are known for their bravery (and boasting ofcourse)
Trykers are the smallest homins, they are traders by heart, and humour and light hearted as well, they live on and and around the big lakes of Atys.
Zorai are the mystical homins, they live in the jungle and are known for their blue skin.
(It doesnt mean that you cannot play a zorai fighter, it is more or less how the background decribes the different races)
Have fun!

Thanks, I guess we are even more mysterious than I would have thought lol
We are the keepers of secrets yes. This is because we are inclined to know among other things the ways of the ancient ones
All I can say is if you ask, a Zoraï might decide to tell you some of their ways

Thank you! I am currently playing a Zorai caster, though admittedly it's difficult getting my head round it at the moment. I imagine once I get to the point where I am ready to leave the trial area, I'll start another character from scratch with what I learned.
So far, having a lot of fun and looking forward to playing.
