Attempting to get onto chat.ryzom.com

I'm on a linux machine and I want to get onto Klients or at least the service mentioned above. I get onto the server well enough when I try 'telnet chat.ryzom.com 6002', but then I get binned out as I'm not a registered user.
Which username do i use to get onto here...It seems it is not my forum or game login?
