How do the skulls you buy at the TP work against Death Penalty please?

death penalty decays at a certain rate, maybe 25% per day (of one batch) ( this is a guess - it used to be 10% but I dont beleive it is at present )
the "skull" things accelerate the rate at which it decays.. so your DP vanishes faster.

useful if you are logging off.. not so good if you are planning to stay on for a while and clear it manually - but they do make a difference even then.
Naturally the more expensive, the faster they work.

Don't quote me on this, but I seem to remember a statement that a maximum DP takes 2 weeks to wear off by itself. With the smallest skull it takes 1 week and with the largest skull it takes 2 days.

But even if I remember it correctly, that was while ago. It could be different now.

I was told by a CSR that a skull was good for one DP only.

I'm not sure how correct it is as when I worked the remaining DP off, I got a message about the 'kiss' (or whever level I had bought) was consumed.

Afaik, it used to be 3 real life days, without "help" I also recall a max DP for a lvl 250 to wear off in like a few hours, something like 8, going to bed with DP and waking off with dP removed.

As far as I know, that's incorrect, or simply a misunderstanding. The effects last till your DP is removed completely and just once, but perhaps that's what the CSR meant: not only for one DP "per se", but until it wears off once. (1)

(1) that said, some CSRs (guides and senior guides) are players and naturally, it is reasonable that they may not know all aspects and details of the game (specially if they get no confirmation or details from devs for a specific game mechanic), it happens, and with all their good intentions they may give you inaccurate info.

You would think that there would be a definitive answer to something like this :(

Thanks for the help though :)

Well for me the definative answer is if you have dp and your going to be playing a while DO NOT BUY, as its far easier and cheaper to kill some obs or dig than spend the money on it.

If your about to log out for the night and your rich enouch buy one and go to sleep wake up your dp will be mostly if not all gone.

it was explained one time. cant find that post tho ;-(

but it was something like: max dp wears of in 20 irl days, dp ticket decreases it to (cheapest) 15/10/5 (highest) days. they do not stack (and you can only buy one of them).
one ticket works for all tp you get while dp ticket is "active". you die and get dp ticket. then you die 9 more times and max you dp. if you would log off for 5 days (assumin you got highest pact), you dp will be gone.
dp ticket does not care if you logged or not. it works the same.

* i'm not that sure about 20 days, 15/10/5 days. like i said, it was explained ages ago. anyone wants to test it ? ;-)

The keyword being "used to", right? I got 5 or 6 DPs last friday and have been mostly in the Ring since then, and a week later my DP still isn't gone. And I even removed part of it hunting.

So 20 days for 10 DPs to wear off sounds about right to me.

But I can't find that post either.
