Ryzom

Hi guys,

Am trying this game out and just downloaded the game. The very odd thing is that I have no problems unpacking the file and can install the game. When the installation reaches 100% the installation is aborted and I get this message:

"The Wizard was interruped before Ryzom could be completely installed.

The system has not been modified. To install this program on a later time, run the install again."

Have tried to download from main site + bittorent, tried to install several times but still getting the same error. Very odd. Any ideas what might be causing this. Thank you.

sounds like a firewall issue, you could try dissabling it for a short time, then if needed, manually open the ports after. Also check available disk space, you`l need arround 7gb i think, possibly more

Maybe your antivirus is blocking things. Try disabling it before running the installer.

Also make sure that you have full admin privileges when installing, perhaps a registry key was not able to be updated due to inadequate permissions.

Thanks for the replies. I have checked:

1. Have 12GB of free space
2. Only have 1 ID on WinXP and thats admin ID which I am using
3. Have tried turning off firewall on router (none on PC)
4. Disabled antivirus also

I'll see if I can find an older client. Hopefully that works.
