North American IRL?

As I don't have the resources to travel to Europe, and I'm sure there are many others here in that situation, what think youse guys? I would like to see a meeting here.

Now I would love to set it up in my own town of Gainesville, Florida but I'm thinking it would be more practical to have something in a more central area than this little peninsula. First of all, however, how many people would be interested? No use putting in the effort if nobody would come after all.

So here I am asking, how many people would come, or would try to come if there were a NA meeting?

And then of course, where would you suggest? I got a nice suggestion of Atlanta before Zerlin politely squelched me on the Unichat ;) Give me some feedback so I know where we are on this!

Would depend on many factors (location and timing being the main ones), but if possible, I would like to do something like this.

I'd absolutely attend one here in the US. (BTW, The geographic center of the lower 48 is somewhere in Kansas I think.)

Yes, but a better "travel" center might be Chicago. Kansas isn't exactly an air traffic hub.

I would do it only if it were local. I love Ryzom but I'm not going to spend on the order of $1000 ($400-500 cross-national plane ticket, if I'm lucky, at least from the Seattle area; plus room, food, probably entrance fee, etc) to go to a game convention. I have family all over the country and if I had that kind of money to blow on travel, I'd blow it on seeing them.

If it were in Seattle or Portland, or something like that, I'd go. But otherwise... no.

I think Austin would be a better central choice of course :P
