I am very interested in joining a role playing guild, I have seen a few posts that mention role play but not many and I am wondering how many guilds there that are heavily role play based and what their races are, I see that most guilds that mention role play are Zorai based and I am wondering what the other races have, the Matis in paticular as I have only seen one guild claiming to be role play from that race and it has been disbanded.

While the Out of Cavern guild doesn't emphasize role-play, I myself (and a few others) like it. Amcyr enjoyed arguing with Elethar in Yrkanis, and my Moonman character had a pleasant, in-character exchange with Hesperos the Tryker guide on Matis refugee island.

Thankyou for pointing this out but it is the thread that I mentioned leads to a now defunct guild. If the other players who had started that guild have formed a new one then I would be very greatful to hear about it.

With enough interest in the all matis roleplay guild one will be formed. At this juncture a guild of 4 people wont give players the opprtunity to truly experience the game.

When 10 + members are ready to join we can take a stab at it then. Til then we patiently wait.

Fyros roleplay guilds.. do they exsist?

This may be somewhat down the road, but I would like to see a multi-civ roleplay guild, not just a guild for one certain race. In fact, this seems like almost the only way to go, since, so far at least, people aren't exactly coming out of the woodwork to sign up for roleplay guilds.

I, myself, am interested in, for once, roleplaying on what is supposed to be a roleplaying game, after all. I experienced a little RP in SWG and a very little so far here, but a focused-rp guild would be great. Again, I think if there are people who are serious about RP playing SoR, we are going to have to band together in a guild that spans civilizations, rather than isolate ourselves into small pockets of a handful of RP'ers--at least until there are more of us than there seem to be at present.

Anyone else share my thoughts?

Pilgrims of Atys already intend to be a multi-race Kami oriented guild.

Only our isolation by the prime roots makes this rather difficult to accomplish. Even if we get to another land, there is little meaningful interaction any members could have other than guild chat because the odds of dragging any group through the roots at this point is ultra slim.
