Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this or not, but it seemed like the right one. I'm something of a noob player still, having only been in game for two months now. I've had this kind of goofy thought bouncing around my head for about two weeks now, so I decided to share it with you.

I made my character Beccas with the intention of making her as close to myself as possible. I've been talking to other players, ansd have found that many opted to go with either enhanhancing one or two details (you know which two I mean) or with making a character that looks nothing like them at all.

I started looking at my character, and I was wondering "did I really get my look right?" So I made a side by side comparison in Photoshop. The results can be found here:

I think I did a pretty good job of matching up the parts, with the exception of the chest. To be honest, the slider wouldn't go any lower, so even at the smallest setting, the digital me has a bigger chest... but I'm not bitter. =^P

In any case, I'm wanting to ask two things:

First, I'm wondering how many of you tried to make your character look like yourself, and if you did, how successful do you feel you were.

Second, if you look at my pic, can you tell me if I do look like Beccas, or if I'm just being biased?

Well, yes. You did a fine job. I actually think you look a bit like your charakter

I absolutely don´t look like my main charakter, a Matis Damsel, but I did an "alternate Version" of me nonetheless.
Later I´m going to post a comparison too I think, just for the fun of it

Edit: OOokay... I admit to gaining a little weight ´till I did this Image of me. *blush* Two years can wreak havoc on a mans figure

Firstly I have to agree you done a great job at cloning yourself, wtg

Usually I like to make chars that look like me, although i played swg for 3 years with a wookie, which, other than being quite tall....like me, it looked nothing like me.

I created Mrsno (my toon from SWG) to test the game, and figure out whether i wanted to pay for a subscription. Turns out i lvl'd her to much, and now im to scared to create a new toon and spend all that time lvling again, so i'll be keeping her, aawww....

To answer your question, oddly she does looks like me O.o - atleast the face anyways, the rest of the body is, well......female - unlike me

I think you did an excellent job of making you character look like yourself! As for me I'm male and my main character here is female so we look nothing alike except maybe hieght lol. I tend to make my characters look different from myself because I try to make them fit their prof I.E. huge muscle man for fighter. The only body type that would fit my size would be a ranger type! You'll have to forgive me for referencing D&D as I have played for 18 to 20 years lol!

Ditto. Nor do I have red hair IRL, or yellow eyes!

In SWG my avatar was a clone of me..I intentionaly made him as close as possible in facial and build.
In Ryzom I play a zorai, losing the normal facial features made me decide to also disregard the build likeness too.

But i think it is nice to have the option to personalise the avatar again after the dissapointing few choices I was offered with in WOW.

OOC: Heavins nOo! I do not look at ALL like my main character. If I did I wouldn't know how to handle those big mellons, I'm still in awe that Trix can walk and not fall face forward. But then again I didn't creat the character in the first place.

if you didn't create the chacter then who did? or did you inherit an account?
