Dear Homins,

Zok regrets that the evil Karavan appear to have killed his magic box allowing access to Atys. Zok will therefore not be around for a few seasons. I'll miss you all.

It seems that my motherboard has finally given up the ghost. It had been giving me some problems for the last few months, but as of yesterday evening, I can't even start the machine. Power is supplied to motherboard and CPU cooler works, but no machine start-up. Connections have been checked etc. I put the cause down to the motherboard, as my onboard USB failed a while back, as did my serial ports.

Still, I can bring forward the purchase of a nice new Intel Core2 Duo PC as replacement

I might also be able to borrow my wife's laptop for a while, it's new enough to play on.

Hurry back, Zok, the misguided.

OCC: I feel your pain. My love of Ryzom equated to 2 laptop purchases in as many years. :O CC

i´m in the same ****... minus the possibility to buy me a new box in the near future and no GF´s laptop

i´m just glad that i could salvage some old machines i had in the cellar and got me a 500Mhz(megahurts) with 96Mb Box running with W98 ,
at least i can troll the forums again

Poor Lyrthis. I hope that you can get something sorted out soon. I'm amazed at how cheap reasonable PCs have got.

Well, Zok is certainly old, but still full of life, just sleeping for a bit. Contrary to certain rumours, I will be back

Wife's laptop isn't really upto playing, I installed everything, switched graphics to minimum, but was lagging away like no bodies business.

New machine was ordered last friday, costs about 40% less than my old one but I reckon it'll be at least four times as powerful
Time to manufacture it was quoted as 9 days, so hope to be back by the start of October.

Sounds like the crafters have been doing well. My new portal into atys is due to be delivered tomorrow. Zok therefore hopes to be back sometime over the weekend, depending on set-up and installation times.

Looking forward to returning.

Zok is very happy, can now run around faster than most Zorai
