Changes in Lore

I have been away for sometime and am trying to catch up on lore. When I left the following was the basic outline of lore.

Zorai and Fryos both followed the Kami.
Matis and Tryker followed the Karavan.

The Kami were guardians of Atys and able to use magic.
The Karavan were aliens who controlled technology.
They hated each other and want to rid each other from Atys.

The Kitin were native to Atys and wanted to eat Homins.

Is that correct or have things changed?

That seems to be pretty accurate based on my month and 1/2 in-game. ;)

Not quite - Kami are guardians of the natural balance, as opposed to the Karavan wishing to get the most out of Atys.
i.e. status quo vs. development

Well, being that metal is not native to Atys... and the Karavan have it, and are unable to breathe the same air without their masks... that would indicate that the Karavan are alien, thus putting the perspective of the Kami guarding the planet into a more realistic light in my mind.

But... I suppose the concept is a matter of debate between the 2 factions and the neutrals. :)

I tried to use unemotive language because Raynes asked about the Basic lore, not about propaganda :p
Prevailing thought is that the Kami are as alien as the Karavan, btw.

Welcome back Raynes :)

Ahhh, I haven't yet found any supporting lore for Kami being alien... but... I am new. ;)

Yep, I want to be sure and have the basic lore down without propaganda. the reson being is that I plan to start making content with the ring and as such I want to be sure I design something based on the lore.

:)

not propoganda, thats why i gave a reference, kara resting water guy asks homins to exploit the lands, karavan outpost drills are known to exploit the grounds also. no more propoganda than saying karavan are all for development of atys, i dont see much of that. the only developing they have done is a temple to worship a human that hasnt been seen for hundreds of years, good old botox <-sorry propoganda

Exploitation is a more loaded word than development, however, and the negative connotations do not necessarily apply to all that they have done.

They taught the Matis a little genetic manipulation - intelligent plants and frippos, even yubos, if I recall correctly, are the results.
