Ok, so a friend recommended me to this game. I am, however having trouble with it getting to work.

System specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64X2 3800+ Venice
P. cooler: Arctic Cooling (CPU) S939 Freezer 64 Pro
Moederbord: Asus A8N-SLI 32 Deluxe
Geheugen: GEIL (DDR) 2x 1Gb PC3200 400Mhz (Dual Channel)
Videokaart: Leadtek (PCI-e) DDR3 256Mb PX7900GTX
Harde schijf: 2x Samsung SP2504C (in SATA, non-RAID)

Problem #1:
When launching the launcher window, it wants to patch (every time I start the game for the last week) to version 502, dated juli 20th 2006. (If I start the game with the internet connection disconnected, it also says that version) After the game relaunches, I can login.

Problem #2:
After selecting my character, it takes 4 minutes and 50 secondes to stand in the game and be able to move. (No idea how long this must take, but i'd imagine much faster.

During this time the loading bar at the bottom runs fast at first but hangs for a while on the last little picture. (Topright corner displays "FV 1.2.0.800" and below that it says "Installing ninja yubo's")

Problem #3:
In the game (i've selected a harvester) I try to kill a suckling yubo, upon which i can only release a "Acid attack". "Default attack" and "Accurate attack" are non-selectable, while I have a dagger equipped. As a result, I'd die. (Insert death scream here)

Upon respawning, I get a message that my connection is lost and the game tries to reconnect. This may take a timed session of at least 15 minutes (after that I gotten bored at started to watch Battlestar Galactica). 2 episodes later it was still trying to reconnect. At the same time, Internet and email are working normally

For the next 2 hours (no idea on the exact time), I can't login because the game says i'm already logged in.

Anyone got any idea's?

#2 probably related to firewall.

#3 do you have pick in your hand ? sure it's a dagger ? click on your right hand icon and select other weapon or no weapon at all.. melee stanzas should light up.

if it says you char is online, try again in 30 sec... then again in 30 sec. then launch klient* and tell you have problem.

* you'll find out what klients is in one of the stickys.

Okay, so the first two problems are today gone. I haven't done anything at all, but it takes me now less then 30 seconds to get in the game. Patching is also ceased.

I still get disconnected however when i try to harvest anything. I also tried deleteing my /save map, but that didn't help. Also creating another character also doesn't work.

(And yes, i already reconfigured my router with those ports)

Weird, i never encoutered any of these problems. Have you tried to reinstall the game?

I hope to see you ingame when you reach the mainland
