How to make the most basic forage macro?

I'm trying to make a 3 step forage macro (prospect + select source + extract) but it isn't working, it stops after the prospect step and i have to use the macro one more time to start extracting. On the other hand a select source + extract macro works just fine. Any suggestions please?

As far as I am aware you can macro the targetting and extraction together but it wont let you combine this with a prospect action.
This I assume is to thwart botters, I think you are stuck with 2 button harvesting.

Sadly, the Ryzom system doesn't have the ability to embed a delay. So what happens is it jumps to the forage action almost immediately after the prospect action starts. Ideally, it should start after the prospect finishes, but it doesn't, so what you want isn't possible.

You can do that but with 2 actions as explained in previous post..
Best solution (not from me but cannot find original thread could be:
1- prospect on first line of hand shortcut: press 1 or 2 or 3.. to start prospect.
2- make harvesting macro on any empty key:
to make harvesting macro:
use knowledge 1 and make target for all possible mats, then use shortcut 11: assuming your harvesting stanza is first on lower bar
pic can give you an idea (disclaimer : thx to the original poster, i copied the idea

)
edit: cant managed to post the pic direct so click the link

One problem I found with this approach (still not sure, tho) is that it may stress the server unnecessarily ?. In other words, if you prospect for a specific mat, using knowledge 1, and your macro is set up in such a way that the specific entity is the last on the list, you may end up sending 8 different target commands to the server (and you'll get 7 messages in sys-info saying "entity not found"). I don't really know, but one would think that entity targetting involves the server as well, not only the client (targetting is not managed by the client only, imho, you need server confirmation).
To some extent, it seems better not to use Knowledge and target only Raw Material Sources, relying on a specific setting of your prospection action.
Comments?

Im sure the server can cope with 8 different commands, just keep an eye on you sys info when you run around, there are already loads of commands are being sent, infact quite alot. Now, take those commands, and think what might get sent to the server when a OP Battle is on =D
When i played SWG, I used to run around with 2 or 3 loop macros on, sending out about 3 or 4 commands each O.o

Let me ask some questions first:
If you run your macro the first time, do you select a source?
If not try to place a sit down, stand up between the prospect and the select source. That should give the server a bit more time to send the data about the found sources to your client.

Trouble too is, such a makro won´t prevent your sources from blowing up in your face and more often then not killing your Charakter. *shrug*
Another good reason why botting is pointless.

Diging (and the whole game btw.) is so much more fun without makroing everything, so why do it anyway?

The macro will finish running before the prospect ever finishes, no matter how much other junk is put in it.

Agreed... if one isn't going to be at the keyboard, or paying attention, one isn't really "playing" the game. Besides, the more automation that is brought into the realm of digging/crafting, the less value the items will have.
Just a thought.
