Greetings Atys. Wanted to stop by and say hi to all my fellow Homins. I'm currently honing my skills at the Ranger Camp near the Ruins Of Silus. Since I'm still unsure what I'd like to be when I grow up, I've been dabbling in all the different skills to find one that suits me.

I've played almost every MMORPG out there. Could care less about Raiding (EQ, and WoW for the bore). I really like the skill based system, and the fact that the game is more of a sandbox type game. Been playing EVE on and off, so this looks like it will fit well also.

My work schedule is fairly weird, I rotate between day shift and night shift every two weeks, so my play times change making it a little harder to play with the same people.

One or two questions though, not that the answers to these will change my mind. I've already decided to subsribe, and I do know that the Mainland isn't quest based, so that's not one of the questions. :)

1) Is it possible to learn every skill in the game? Will you earn enough skill points to do this?

2) I'm leaning more towards a caster type character. I realize that castors are more of a support character, but is it possible to solo as one? I've currently been raising all my skills semi evenly, but I realize that's not going to work in the long run.

Anyways, looking forward to playing with you guys some day.

Welcome! Glad to hear you're enjoying your stay. :D

Yes, you can eventually learne very skill int he game if you level enough. Harvest and especially especially craft points are valuable, they may take an eternity if at all to get all the skills. Magic and fight aren't too bad to get everything you want if you do a couple branches, and not farfetched to get everything there is.

For soling magic, it is quite doable with elemental magic. Afflictions can be soloed in combination with elemental but difficult, and they'll fall behind. Heal cannot be soloed, as you need a teammate to heal ;)

Hope to see you on Atys soon! Send me a /tell anytime if you have questions.

Welcome to Atys Shivalynn :)
With your changing shift patterns you might like to check out those guildswith members scattered all around the world. I think Veni Vidi Vici and Aeden Artisans manage that, and probably a couple of others.

Thanks for the welcome. I finally got my subsription active, so I'll be heading to the mainland eventually. :)

Want to get some of my skills a little higher, since I've read that the Matis ML area is a little more difficult. Still having fun on the Newbie island helping out others and learning little tips and tricks.

Thanks for the guild links, I'll definitely check some of those out. I'm pretty picky about guilds, been playing MMO's for a LONG time, so I know that the guild you pick can make or break a game. And I've been in some pretty bad ones over the years.... *shiver*

Anyways, looking forward to visiting the mainland and seeing everyone else. Thanks again.

Welcome to Atys.

Been a solo caster is not very difficult as elem magic is the tree doing more dmg.

Would recommend to do melee in parallele tho as this is the tree giving you the most HP and those HP are very needed for high lvl elemental casters...

Have fun :)
