Hello there.

I'm interested in the game (and have been for a long time), but there's a bit of a problem. I'm on a 2GB/month download limit - yes, that's "two": tiny, I know.. - and with SoR being such a large file I simply cannot download it. Is there any way I could obtain a boxed (or even just a disc) copy of the game, and would it still be free like the download? (Of course, I'm aware there are going to be shipping costs if I have it delivered to me..)

Only way I can see is to have a friend/relative download it and burn it to a DVD for you. Even the boxed copy will require approximately the same amount of patching as the latest installer would need for download so that is not an option in your case.

Be warned that the soon to be released R2 will require a minimum of 500 MB, and up to 1.5 GB, of patching depending on which installer you have used. So you will be facing your download limit again very soon no matter what way you proceed.

If you are very patient you can use the torrent download and interrupt it part-way through, then resume next month.

Ouch... 2gb

Or if your friends have CD burners but not DVD burners you could try zipping it onto multiple CDs as a spanned archive if you have the right zip style program.
