calculating craftet stats?

I wonder how the crafted stats of an item are calculated...

a little example from heavy armor crafting, durability stat:

I open the crafting window and enter the following mats with all other slots empty:

9 choice a wood only: durability is 15
9 choice b resin only: durability is 15
6 choice c oil only: durability is 1
6 choice d sap only: durability is 1

all but sap toghether: durability is 30
all above toghether: durability is 41

Now I really wonder: how are the material stats and armor stats calculated? and how does ballisticmystix calculate how high the durability value of choice a wood is?

It's not straight forward, that is what makes the crafting so fun. I think about 4 or 5 people on this server have worked out some idea of how it is done, but never enough to be able to predict an outcome.

Crafting is complex, and amazing. Analyze it if you like pulling your hair out, otherwise just enjoy it.

The Ballistic Mystix numbers are a measurement in pixels of the length of the bars on individual item, e.g. open up info on a Choice wood and measure how long the durability bar is.

i can say this, supreme mats with max speed/damage/power/castspeed/...............
are more than 100% precraft, aslo some excel mats are.
you have to learn how to calculate them, and thats the art of crafting ;)

as an example, an 97/97 zun amp have different damage/speed depending on which shaft and grip is used
so when your precraft is 96, it could be 96.1 or 96.7 :)

This is wrong. While it would be logical to have the graph continue like this, it does not work out with actual test calculations and ingame comparisons. Sorry!

In Theory it looks like this:

Basic Peak Stat at 60
Fine Peak Stat at 75
Choice Peak Stat at 90

So far difference to next grade is exactly 15, but now a break happens in the real game.

Excellent Peak Stat 105 (100 ingame)
Supreme Peak Stat 120 (100 ingame)

Yet the 15% increment theory is pretty solid if you look for example on the lowest stat it works out:

Basic Low Stat at 0
Fine Low Stat at 15
Choice Low Stat at 30
Excellent Low Stat 45
Supreme Low Stat 60
