Can you create a guild in the newbie area?

If not, can you create a guild on the mainland and invite people in the newbie area?

No (the NPC's for this are in capitol cities only)

Yes (use the remote invite command: /guildinvite)

Thanks, I'm actually an old player returning. Trying to remember how to play, checking out the new newbie land. Yay!

I guess you could have a friend make you a guild on the mainland, get them to remote guild you and give you leader status... You'd have no guild hall but guild leadership in theory.

Every one is spot on with their answers. If you're an old player from way back then, when you last played, you couldn't invite people on the starter isle. However, they introduced 2 long distance invite commands that mean now you can invite players who are on the starter island into a mainland guild.

As OudKnoei said, the guild invite command is: /guildinvite name_of_player.
The second command is a long distance team invite: /invite name_of_player.

I have an old character on the mainland, and I found the guild clerk and everything.

This way all the people I am making try out the free trial can have a way to talk to each other!
