I feel like I've finally found my home - Newcomer to Ryzom

I've been through too much to recount in my mmo career. Ultima Online was my first years ago, and I experienced many worlds since then (daoc, L2, FFXI, WoW, AutoAssault, GuildWars, Shadowbane, SWG, MxO, EVE, EQ2, DDO, and others). Lately, I've been in a slump about mmo's. I'd tried them all, and realized that WoW was an empty void, but nevertheless addicting. What I wanted was the community and freedom of UO, and the sprawling wilderness of SWG. Ryzom answered my call.
I created a Zorai, since I loved the mystery behind them and the spirituality of the peoples. My Zorai name is Vhael. Currently, I am exploring the newcomer island, training my skills and learning how to exist in the environment. I plan to focus in Magic mostly, at least in the beginning. I've already met someone on the island who is guiding me through many trials and advising me on my skill point spending. For a 3 yr old game, the community seems to be booming, and that's a good thing. Without community, an mmo is pointless.
Soon, I will be venturing to the mainland. My first desire will be to find the perfect guild. Roleplaying, events, and tight community are the traits I will be seeking. As for factions, like the Kami and Karavan, I'm not yet sure how they fit into guilds and the like. But I will learn.
All in all, I feel like I've finally found my home. Atys is what my heart has been yearning for in an online community and I look forward to meeting you all and becoming a permanent part of this wonderous world.
