Can't play the game!!

The download and installation was awful... i had to redownload it 10 times to get it to work!! When it finially came on, i signed up for my account and thought finially i can play this! type in my name and pass and what do you know a message says i can't play!!
The message:
error: error 10 : "no mainland shard available" while trying to join a shard.
I have a few ideas what this might mean. One of them is that i am using a trial versian and trying to connect to the main land for paying customers only (i will pay if i like the game) anyone know a way around this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated becasue i have spent sooo long trying to get this to work and i don't want to give up now?
