downloaded the Free Trial earlier, sitting through Patching now(man initial patching takes forever, in any MMORPG).

just wondering how hard/easy it is going to be for me to find some friends to adventure with. I don't wanna be running around by my lonesome for 2 weeks, ya know? so what's the population like? what's the most populous and least populous servers?

You shouldn't have any problem finding anyone to team in nooby island, since everyone start in the same place

once u get to mainland u will have to say goodbye to friends from other races for a while until you are strong enough to trek to meet them across atyrs

Regarding servers: you'll be on Arispotle if you type English, Aniro if you type French, and Leanon if you type German.

And you certainly won't be alone in the Ruins of Silan (that's the island the trial is located on). There are plenty of players there. The mainland is less populous / has its population more spread out, partly because it's just a lot bigger, but personally I like it that way...too noisy in Silan. xD

okay...First Impressions...

Graphics are very nice! So are the Casting Animations.

Combat isn't sluggish or slow-paced.

the freedom of developing my character the way I want to is a nice change of pace.

I'm not fond of Crafting or of Melee. I can stomach harvesting, I think, and I really like spellcasting. hopefully i can find people to make some armor and weapons for me in exchange for materials.

I LOVE the fact that I can create and Name my own Spells. I look forward to getting to a high level so that I can thoroughly push the Limits of the Spell Creation System.

so far I am liking this game.

now to get really immersed in the game world, and figure out where my character fits in here.

I can see myself subscribing here. just need to find a good, fun group of people to play with that will make it worthwhile to stay.

Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself. I've been here just over a week myself. My character name is Lyath, still on the newbie island and I plan on devoloping as armoursmith/weaponsmith. If you ever need armour/weapons in return for materials drop me a tell. Lyath is a Fyros so depending on your race we may be in separate locations after moving to the mainland.

Like you I am planning to subscribe also so if you are close on the mainland the offer of weapons/armour for materials will still stand.

unfortunately for your Crafting skill...I am a Tryker.

I want to read up on the Lore behind the two sides before I decide which way I want to go once i get to the mainland though.

but I'm gonna stay on the newbie isle for a good bit first.

That's actually not a problem, unless you don't like the looks of the Fyros armour. Any race can wear any races armour, what matters is your stats versus whats required for the armour (stat requirements are the same across all races).

.... and if the materials you exchange are Basic, Fine or Prime Roots then they can be used in craft plans of any nation. Choice or Excellent Lake materials cannot be used in a Fyros armour plan for example, but Fine mats foraged in the Lakes can.
