What is the 100% BEST super dee duper stupendous way to level a main healer. I wanna be pure defensive magic heals buffs and all that happy jazz. Though i want to do this i don't really know how as i am very much new. I have tried to find a thread about such but have met with no avail. Mainly my question is Whats the best way to lvl defensive magic. Also if i get points in offensive magic can i not use those points to purchase new defensive skills?

Magic skill points can be spent on any stanza currently available to you and the points can be earned in def or off magic or afflictions, so if you need to boost a few SP for a stanza you want it may be easier to gain them by lvling a lower tree for awhile.
With regards to Training Def magic the only way is to be teamed and heal so you will be looking to find a training partner one way or another as def magic is about the only thing impossible to solo.
And welcome to Atys

There are no buffs, as such. The Kami taught us a few afflictions, some of which may be considered rather like debuffs in other games - Slow, Blind and Madness - but the effects of afflictions last only a couple of seconds longer than you can maintain a "link". Defensive afflictions are Fear, Stun and Sleep and you can level your affliction solo but you have to use an offensive skill to kill your prey, so teaming is the only really efficient way to work on your defensive magic.
Best tip for fastest levelling - don't die. Everyone else is counting on you, the healer, to rezz them so that you all avoid the death penalty
Best tip to be be a good healer - learn to be a melee and offensive mage too, so that you have a good idea what your teammates need from you

You'll want to level another tree anyway (recommend melee), to use that for your HP upgrades so that you needn't spend Magic Skill Points on them. Levelling melee will also allow you to learn the Melee Protection Aura.
There is no 100% BEST way, I assure you, since chance always plays some part - see first tip above.

the easiest way to lvl defensive magic is to find a team and use heal spells.
yes you can use sp gained from offensive magic, its counted as generic 'magic xp' and can be used to buy any types of magic spells

The best way to level one if you wan't to be the best healer is to take some phsyical exercise related training too for many reasons ie more hp to stay alive, more hp to credit spells too.
The quickest way to level is to find some insane warrior who wants to level to 250 in a month and stick with them constantly, It's how my lazy ass made more heal levels in a month than I had in about lol..

Making proper sentences while still keeping team alive is a true sign of a natural (I'd still like to meet one)

Is that DD?

There are some basic "buffs", called "auras" in this game. I just got WarCry, and it's a team aoe "buff" giving greater damage.
