I played ryzom in beta when it was released and loved this game. Then WoW came up and I have played that ever since, hardcore end game raiding has taken a tole on me im so burned out from raids and the game itself, and all my raid guild friends are too( im making them download this!). relaying on 39 other people to play everything right and spending 6 hours a night is insiane.

I hope to see you all in game and hopefully we all will have a blast.

Have a look at the patch notes to get caught up on the new stuff from beta, otherwise just ask questions as needed. Many changes from the beta days, enjoy RoS (Ruins of Silan, newb island) and get a feel for them.

welcome back. I'm an ex-beta tester as well and have returned to SoR just in the past week. The new starter island and unlimited trial is awesome, the perfect tutorial for new players wanting to learn about the game.

what I'm looking for from SoR is an enjoyable solo game experience. It's all well and good to join a guild and have guildmates with whom you can team up. But the solo experience is also important; if I think that to achieve anything in this game I would need to be teaming up most of the time, I wouldn't enjoy that so much. Turbine found that out with D&D Online and is making the game more solo-friendly rather than forcing players to team up all the time.

Welcome back to the game both of you! *huggles*

Xmojo: Soloing is very possible. Generally teaming is easier for leveling, because it is safer and can be faster. Soloing is mostly hard because you need to find just the right mobs to hunt, but there are good mobs at every level.

The trick is to know what to hunt when, quick kills for decent xp (not nessecarily max), which are relativly safe. Having a good metabolism etc is important for healing your stats between kills.

I myself soloed most the way from 200 to 250 in elemental, and have been doing the same with my melee now. I have currently been soloing my range skill from 21 to 151, and when I get leveling my autolauncher, its best to do it alone :)

When leveling sometimes its quicker xp to level alone. Also you don't have to share the loot :D

Hope that helps, and feel free to ask if you need help
