Is there a command or hotkey that allows me to select the next or nearest creature in combat?

Hitting the spacebar is "Front select enemy" - it selects the closest mob infront of you basically, but if there's nothing infront of you within range then it will select other stuff if its on your screen but "behind" the character. Careful when using it because you might select the wrong thing by mistake.

OK, sounds as if it might be more convenient than swinging around with the movement keys to sight creatures behind me. I'll give it a go.

use the mouse to look, no need to actually turn.

although i dont go in for all this wasd remapping so maybe its not so convienient if you have?

Just hit the Numpad 0 (zero) to activate your "rearviewmirror".

*walks of singing: Objects in the rearviewmirror may appear closer then they are...*
