Hello, i'm new started playing yesterday.

I am currently attempting to do the 4th harvesting quest, is there a way to get the npc to repeat the quest? or is there a link to anywhere which has a written list of the various quests?

Im not sure now that im looking in the right place for this particular resource and need to clarify the directions.

I don't know what the quest is about by the number only, so maybe you can help us with the information what you need to know.

As far as I know there is no source where to read about the quests at the moment.

So, now I try to guess what are you looking for.

If you have to harvest fine mats, you will find a direction marker on your compass (right-click compass -> missions) and your map, or if you search for Zun amber take a look south of the Karavan Embassy.

No need for the npc to tell you again I believe. Press "j" and the mission window will pop up, and you can read what the mission says

Yes I know, however i need the directions to where to find the deposit which isnt contained in the mission info.

I would guess that it wasn't contained in the original NPC text either. Best to ask in Region for help finding what you need.

I was trying to do this quest last nite as well. After 1.5 hrs of looking around for this and supposedly being less than 1m away from it, I dont understand why I couldn't locate 1 fine Zun Amber.

Not sure if my procedure was correct. But, I would go just North of the Ranger Camp hit my 100m Deposit Tracking Action and once the bar was done, it gave me a reading and I just kept running till I was about 10m away. I hit my 50m Tracking and ran around till I was up on this slightly Heart Shaped mound and it said I was less than 1m away and that the deposit should be near by. At that point I did a Fine only search (not sure of the terminology of the action), thinking I should be able to find the Zun Amber and it never found it but said "something" was close by. After some frustrating moving 2inches, rescan, repeat, move, rescan, repeat... you get the drift. I decided to go craft and was able to get up to the Ruins quests in no time from lvl 1 Crafting. Yaaa!

But anyway, any assistance with the completion of this newbie quest would be greatly appreciated.

it's very difficult finding specific mats at low level, trouble is there isnt really any alternatives for foraging missions.. do persist though, i promise it gets easier.

I'd suggest a shout in region next time and some kind soul will hopefully come help you find it

Actually the harvester NPC does give you hints in his text. He says something like, "In the patch of ground 50 meters behind me you should find some." The problem is that the newbies are so overwhelmed with the Silan camp, and it is so hard to find things there (because it's hard to tell what is where at first) that "50 yards behind me" is very easy to confuse.

They need to make that text repeatable. A simple expedient would be to let the NPC re-iterate his directions whenever you click on him, until you complete the task.

I agree completely that the text should be repeatable. The mission of course gives a quick overview of what you are supposed to be doing but if you dont catch what the mission giver says the first time your out of luck. I ran into the same problem on a couple missions.
