Time to move over to the mainland?

Post by remyt »

I finished up the last quests on the newbie isle yesterday and i've used this day to lvl up my figther skill to 50.

So the question is, are there anything more that i should have done before i move over to the mainland?

You should be good to go if you finished all 4 sets of quests from the racial leaders (Sterno, etc), and all of Chiang's. If you want you can also do the Kami and/or Karavan ones.

At level 50 you're more than ready to move on to the mainland. There are plenty of low-level mobs there too.

Check your essential supplies such as milk (UHT), sugar and coffee.
Phone in sick for an indefinite period.
Fill your electric meter as full as it will go.
Write a sweet letter to your girlfriend or wife or significant other :)

Or you could do like me and say you are "working at home" for a few days. :D

As a rule of thumb kinda thing, it's usually a good idea to have 200k or there abouts in your pocket when you jump over.

You'll want a mektoub to store stuff on and the low end of those go for...140k(ish)? .. and you'll want to do a little shopping when you first get to your new home.

The gear for sale at the vendors will be of different styles, colors, stats and such than what you've had available at the ruins. Its nice to be able to buy a piece or few of new gear as a graduation gift to yourself :)

Oh, and dont forget to hold back at least 10k. New commers host a "binge night" at the pub to announce their entry into the world. It's an old custom, best not to try bucking it.

Are you lvl 50 in just the Fighter skills? And do you have just the one character? How about lvling a second character to lvl 50 in another class like Crafter, give yourself a second playing option on the mainland?

Why not do it on the existing character? Classless system doesn't need alts...though an alt of another race may be helpful if his first character is Zoraï.
Jelathnia, Kasarinia, KianShi, Maethro, ShuaLi, and OPaxie (Arispotle)
TeiJeng (Leanon)

long-distance communication | some foods and drinks | Zoraï pictograms

Allready moved over to the mainland now.
Atm i'am 51 in fighter, 23 magic, 26 forager, 25 crafter something around that.

And i got one word for it: WOW!!

As soon as i landed i understand that i'am far from knowing everything, and there right away i felt a lot of questions filled up inside me.
The whole world was throwed at me.
In the start it felt a little frustrating, didn't know where to find that, and don't know what to do next. Its still like that, but because of some nice ppl i've asked a lot of questions and got a lot answered.
So now i'am off to bed and i'll log on tomorrow and see if i can sort out some more questions and see what i should be doing.

But i still love the game, even if its a little frustrating atm, it will get better with time i hope.
Appricate and kind of tips here if you should have any =)

Got some goals atm and thats to get to know and join the kami side, start crafting, and maybe get myself a guild with a nice bounch of ppl to go on a hunt and so on, i want to take my time, not rush, but its very hard atm because i feel there is tons of thing to learn and i can quite find out what i want to learn yet, but enoguh babling for me now.

Goodnight, cu all tomorrow =)
