Bittorrent File, not working?

After finding out about Saga of Ryzom I decided to download the game using bitlord. Once finished downloading I went to install the game. I get what look like a command prompt screen pop up for a few seconds then nothing, when I click on the installation file. I did get this torrent from the official site and as I currently type downloading another installation file, (from the SoR site again). I have not used Bittorrent before so I dont know if I am simply doing it wrong to install. Advise/Help would be appreicated.

Thanks

I hope the second download works for you - the first one could well be corrupted if that's what is happening when you try to run it. If it still doesn't work, doublecheck the system requirements, then try the Live Chat Support Tool.

I just downloaded from the big "Download the Game" button on the home page, which decompressed to 6 files okay. Launched Setup and installed, launched and patched (only a minute for that), relaunched and ingame. Phew. I'll try the BitTorrent one now too.

Thoroughly scan your system for viruses and malware. A damaged command.com or the like can interfere with launching/patching.

I had terrible problems with the BitTorrent download - my system restarted itself numerous times until eventually BitTorrent said the file was corrupted. Perhaps there are damaged shares out there. So finally I tried the other link on the download section and that, like the link on the homepage, worked beautifully too. 1 hour 10 minutes from clicking the link to getting to the character creation screen.

I am currently re-downloading the Nevrax BitTorrent link with no issues. Will update when it gets done.

Update: yet again I have downloaded the installer and it checks out as fine
Good thing I have no download limits as I seem to have to do this every week to keep you folks happy.

I have a good copy of the latest installer. I downloaded it by Bittorrent when it was released.
I usually seed while I'm at work or overnight, but last night I didn't. I'll try to seed it today.(BTW I'm using Azureus 2.3.0.6)

Yes I'm now seeding the file I downloaded from the homepage link :)
Maybe BitTorrent doesn't like me downloading anymore though I used it very happily last year.
