Building Skilltree
Been playing Ryzom now and again since launch and more and more players i talk to are dissapointed with lack of player housing.
A new housing zone near each capital city, a new skill tree (see link above for exemple)..
C'mon Nevrax, forget a bit about pvp add ons and get us a proper home sweet home !

If'n I was going to do it, I'd replace the apartment with an 'apartment plot'. Which we could then build on by various means.
I don't think it's going to be a priority for Nevrax though TBH, still.

Would require lots of patches tho , as everytime something was built everyone would require the new information , so new patch :/

It would probably only be serverside, but it could work as much as the Outposts have buildingplots. On the other hand I doubt there would be enough room to accomodate the housing; land isn't that common around Fairhaven for instance. (ofcourse boathouses could be a solution for that
)
And I'd sure hate to be roaming around the more dangerous zones only to find everything's been cluttered with cottages or tents.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, I'd love to have it, but we shouldn't count on it soon(tm). Playerhousing only lasts a short time as 'content'; there's more pressing matters that would need to get looked at.

Yeah, I don't think it should be 'on the land' we (sort of) have outposts for that. But customisable apartments made up of 'elements' should be doable.

Would be a very nice theme for later R² Add Ons.

We would build them on the water, silly! Lots of room there!

No building plots would be sold on the existing mainland, a new zone near each capital would be enough.
Similar versions of this worked great with Daoc and helped keeping Horizons alive.
Anyway it's just an idea, Nevrax probably have other plans in waiting.
Well until somethin like this & hundreds of lore rites make it ingame i personally think thats something is greatly missing in Ryzom.
I love the game but a big chunk of content would make it perfect.
