it took a sharp dive downward with a few comments from DCP. Pity too. I agree (again....) with ya Judy... there was some good stuff in there (with some heated words to be sure, but I think Red and I came to a decent agreement several posts later...). I think a word of warning from one of the mods would have been sufficent

It turned into a personal flame war between 2 or 3 people. One of them tried to drag me into it too but I was having none of it... I just stopped posting.

Yeah it managed to go from a useful, constructive and pretty interesting thread to something pretty undesirable to have on the forums in the space of 2 or 3 comments - so had to go as it breached a few rules. Sorry, but we can't allow that.

I did, it wasn't pretty
and I stayed well out of it.
I would be nice to see the early bit of the thread reinstated, with just the dodgy, post-watershed stuff deleted.

Sad to see engaging threads destroyed by a few selfish peeps. Is there a way to block certain accounts from an active thread to stop the flamefest dead in it's tracks?
