Yes they did a patch today but, at least according to their initial 10-2 GMT+2 time period, that should be over with by now (unless I've figured GMT to Pacific time wrong).

I get something like:

Error 10 : Mainland shard unavailable

even tho I'm trying to login with my "spare" free account thats still on the island.

So I gues they really mean -- Server Crash, Oops !

patch was done ages ago seemed to be fine
wastelands map still not fixed though :/

but then about an hour ago got the good old "please wait" and server went down

Not in my experience, but we always seem to get a few bumps during the first few weeks after a major patch.

First time I see it be down, and I am at work, not able to play, so it doesnt affect me much anyway.. so eh, never down :>
