Hey all :)

I recently went to the Mainland and I now see lots of different armour with "...of parry modifier" and "...of Max Slashing Protection" Armour with names like that.

I am just wondering that if I wanted to use 2 hand sword what would be the best sort of heavy armour for me :o ?

I have no idea!!

These suffixes simply display what the highest stat is on the crafted item. It's not necessarily the only good stat, if at all. Some remarkable recipes come out with interesting stats, and are only named after one of them, or in some cases, one that has nothing to do with it.

As for a good armor choice for you: it depends on what you want. Good HA can have up to +3 parry per piece (though you'll more commonly see +1, or +2 if you're lucky.) and up to 60% protection factor (again, you'll not see this much, if at all, on vendors.) with great amounts of max vs. (basically the maximum amount that can be absorbed by your armor from each hit). Heavy armor is great for absorbing damage, but greatly increases your stamina use. There is no single choice of what armor you should wear. It's up to you... do you want more parry, or higher protection? Zorai or Fyros? Black or red? HA, just as any other armor, is best tailored to your likings, and you'll find yourself much happier with such a set than with a stock one from the merchants (that may not even be the same color or race!)

as was stated above, the name of the armor usually doesn't have much to do with the important stats. Just go through and check the pieces that meet your Q requirement and find the nice ones you want.

As for armor at your level, it depends on what your highest levels are. Parry is calculated off your highest melee level ( so with 65 2hand, you'd have 65 parry ) while dodge is calculated off your highest magic level. So if you had healing of 150, but melee of 85, it'd be better to find some armor that has + to dodge rather than parry.

Also, don't feel like you have to break the bank to buy the best set of supreme armor you can. The levels fly by so fast that you'll have outgrown the armor before you've even recovered a fraction of the armor cost.

sell all the "loot" you harvest from things you kill on the vendors using the sell to players option, sell it for about a 50% markup, and raise it if you find your selling it all very fast.

As morgaine said, dont go for the best set, look for a nice cheap one
