An internal review of the Samsara

OK, this is just what I think the Samsara is about. Firstly the hard facts:
Our listing on Spritehs thread lists us as "Semi-RP". Basically this means we RP a fair bit in a fairly free-form manner. This isn't enforced, but if you have some interest in RP you'd probably have more fun with us. Guild chat is about 50/50 IC and OOC. We hold regular RP events (the now infamous Thesos Pub Night, every two weeks on a tuesday at 8.30pm UK time), please ask in advance if you need treking there to get the TP.
We are faction and civilisation neutral (at the moment, subject to review if anyone raises it at a guild meeting). This does limit you to being Neutral/Neutral should you wish to join. This does _not_ mean we have no personal feelings regarding the factions... just that the guild as a whole has no wish to pick sides, which would after all limit our primary interest in hiring out to whoever meets our price this week...
Moving on to who we are:
The Samsara are mercenaries. We hire out for jobs taking mats, crystals, dapper or other services in payment. You want a hand with a boss hunt, but don't wanna share those hard earned supreme or excellent materials with more people? Give us a call! Need an escort in PR or while digging a dangerous spot? Can do.
We also take a limited part in PvP, if hired out on contracts, though some of our members do not like PvP, and so don't get involved. We emphasise freedom with responsibility, no one has to turn up even if a customer has hired the guild (which is why we usually do a "per person that shows" cost), but we do like to see a good turn out.
Though primarily a european based guild we do have some quite active members from all over, and many of us are on at odd hours anyway.
Finally, on joining the guild:
We do not actively hunt down new refugees and ask them if they wanna sign up. We do not hand out excellent or supreme gear to random beginners in the hope they will join us (though most of us are happy to craft you a choice item or two if we have the mats handy). If you want to join us? Come ask someone in the guild. We have a boot-camp for all new recruits, a series of tasks that must be completed to become a full member of the guild. They aren't hard tasks, but they do encourage you to learn about the guild and how to get ahead on Atys.
