LF Guild and yes I've read the Guild Listing

Char: Meshin
Zorai Refugee
Training in all trees until I know what I would like to specialize in.
TimeZone: EDT (-4 GMT in summer. -5 in winter)
RP Stance: Semi to High
PvP: Plan to be flagged on the mainland for full time PvP.
There are many new homin finishing up their gauntlet on the new island and looking for a home on the Mainland. The problem with the Guild Listing is that it doesn't tell you much. e.g. Does a Fyros guild mean you need to be Fyros to join or that the guild follows the ways of the Fyros and then whatever "Religion" is specified.
What is the guild like? Big, small, PvP, chatty, quiet, RP active, how RP strict...the list goes on.
The guild listing only tells you who exists and maybe how much they RP, but that is it.
Everyone refers us new Homin to this thread, but it really does a poor job describing the guild. I wish more guild leaders would complete the guild description standard and place it in the new guild section on the main site. That way we can get the full picture before contacting anyone.
Thanks and see you on Atys
Edited with time zone info.

difficult to say,
Kings of Oblivion most hardcore PvPers, most are flagged all the time. But not much into RP i dont think.
Team Spirit more RP but less PvP, altho they have been known to take part in outpost battle PvP situations.
Maybee talk to Atys Paladins too, and Riders on the Storm
EDIT: whats the chances of trying to persuade all of Angels of Atys, Infinity, to reroll, and creating the ultimate zoari guild once again?

Semi/high RP PvP Kamist guild does not exist, unless you're male and Fyros (Seekers of the Dragon).
Fyros means a member's race alignment can only be Fyros or Neutral.
Kami means a member's faction can only be Kamist or Neutral.

Thanks Kat. btw wanted to thank you for all of the answers you've been giving on the MMORPG boards. Been very helpful in both getting me interested in SoR and clearing up some areas of confusion.
All I can say now is Hrm.
So, I'm left with 5 options (not a bad number). 1. Reroll to fit a guilds requirements, 2. Keep Meshin and go with a full time PvP guild that fights because they can and not for RP reasons, 3. Keep Meshin and go with an RP guild that perhaps pvp's some in the outpost wars. 4. Create my own guild. 5. Become a believer in the Karavan.
4. Not happening. I like playing games as a follower. I do too much leading IRL.
1. Guess could do since I now know what is going on.
2. I've lost interest in PvP for PvPs sake. Meaning makes it more interesting. 3. If I stay flagged can I still expect PvP support from members or will I be on my own if I get jumped PvEing/harvesting?
5. Gah, seems like the Kami are the underdog.
*puts on his helmet of thinking +2*

It sounds like the newly reformed Knights Levier might fit the bill. See the description following the Guild listing thread.
"we will be from mid to extreme lvl of RP...Vixen is the leader and Uliaryn is the High officer"

Ohh yeah, forgot about that one.
And Meshin: simply remaining neutral is possible too. It's a bit underdoggish. But you can't have a faction PvP flag while neutral, and the neutral RP guilds aren't much into other kinds of PvP. If you went Karavan, you'd still have a problem with a relative lack of RP guilds.

I have to say that I agree with Meshin, there are either few options as it relates to guilds or they are not descriptive enough.
Character Name = Xaak
Race = Zorai
Religion/Faction = undecided
Same time zone (EDT)
RP level = none to moderate
PvP = medium to high
I agree also that PvP should mean something, and not for just PvP sake. Territory/factional warfare sounds interesting, and hopefully I can find a guild that is interested in the same. Most importantly would be finding a group of players in the same time zone/play time (nights 8-11 EDT) that are interested in the same thing. Looking at the island each night this week, there were tons of people running around, which leads me to believe that many are starting this game. More than likely moving from other MMOs, as SOR has moved up the MMORPG.com charts in recent weeks.
If there are a fair number of players that would be interested in starting something during this time let me know, although also like Meshin, I hate leadership positions in guilds unless absolutely neccesary.

Kings of Oblivion is a mostly european guild, but our players are on until late in European time (I myself am in eastern United States). We are a very "extreme" when it comes to PvP, and sometimes we like to RP-but never in Guild Chat. But, just because we dont usually RP doesn't mean any of our members are not welcome to it.
And as to this "5. Gah, seems like the Kami are the underdog."
Yes, the Kami are the underdogs right now, haven't always been-used to be Karavan were the underdogs. But, if the Kami keep recruiting their own (ie. mostly Fryos and Zorai since they start out with kami fame) then eventually the Kami will no longer be the underdogs.
Generally, a faction declared guild will allow pvp whenever-but it's up to the player and usually many players of a guild do not like to join in all of the time. I'd say keep searching, if you cannot find the right guild right away-or make your own guild.

Word of warning about Seeker of The Dragon. Anyone joining better be ok with being lonely for awhile. I didnt design the guild with any eye toward it ever becoming popular.
If you'll notice, even the name is singular tense.

The one guild that stood out to me with a very well-written Guild Info page on their website, was
VeniVidiVici. It covered all the things I myself would like to know about a guild. As I'm currently shopping for one, I want to get as much info as I can before I bug an officer ingame. ^^
