Is there a "Saga of Ryzom" guild for SWG refugees?

Let me know if anyone is interested in forming a "Saga of Ryzom" guild for SWG refugees, in the English-language "Arispotle" server. Or does such a guild exist already?

All my Ryzom chars but one (Amphiaraus) are unguilded.

If any Ryzom vets read this could you provide some info on how to create a Ryzom guild and what the current requirements are? I assume only rich, high-level Ryzom chars are able to create and run a guild.

I currently have one fairly advanced Ryzom char (Amphiaraus) and 4 alts who have reasonable skills:

Name, Race, Location

Amphiaraus, Matis, Yrkanis City (mainland)

Otho, Zorai, Zora City (mainland)

Amalia, Matis, Ranger Camp (on the all-4-races n00b island)

Morbius, Firos, Pyr City (mainland)

Altaira, Tryker, Fairhaven City (mainland)

I was on the SWG Flurry server, and had 8 characters there (including my SWG Amphiaraus). I quit SWG in Dec 2005 after having played it for nearly 2 years. SWG was a great game in the pre-CU days.

I battled the CU and the NGE in various forums, and was one of the people quoted in Seth Schiesel's Dec 10, 2005 NY Times article which criticized SOE, the NGE, and SOE's mistreatment of SWG veterans.

Thanks,
Amphiaraus

The only requirement for creating a guild is 100,000 dappers.

As for a guild for SWG refugees, I suggest Team Spirit. It's a Tryker Kamist guild.

If I remember right (digging thru brain now here), starting a guild costs 100,000 dapper. You need to talk to the guild clerk in the city in which you are going to start your guild.

Your guild hall will then cost you another 10,000,000 dapper, but is not required unless you wish to try to take an outpost.

As for there being an SWG refugee guild, do not know. I know PF has taken in a few and are always open to all. :) But it also looks like there are quite a number of you, so could be a cool idea.

Most guilds on Atys are pretty open to all, so many of the SWG players may have already gone into one of the various others. I just do not have enough information.

Anyway.. Good luck in whatever you do. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a /tell in game.

Does anyone know ingame names of people running Team Spirit?

I am very interested in having one or more of my chars join this guild.

I assume it is from the Arispotle server.

Thanks,
Amphiaraus

Look here for Team Spirit's website:

Older waves of SWG refugees are found in many older guilds too. They are all over. :)

Why join a swg guild?
Prehaps it would be better to look into all the guilds, less you only intend to stand around monaing about sony all day *Smirks*

Ex-SWG players have a sense of loyalty to one another, and to their lost game.

The pre-CU SWG to me represents the pinnacle of MMO design, no MMO has come closer to realizing Ralph Koster's vision of an MMO as a virtual world.
