I am having an odd problem with SOR, I installed the game and patched it then logged in for the first time. But I am seeing a lot of textures showing up as White. I am running a 7800 GS OC (AGP) with the latest Nvidia Drivers.
Any idea what causes textures not to load or are just plain missing ? Even with the texture problem SOR looks and runs great on my PC so I would really like to resolve this ASAP.

Missing textures are usually down do video driver issues.
Remove and reinstall your video drivers.
If you are using the latest Beta drivers then consider trying the latest release ones instead. Beta drivers usually have something not quite up to par and Ryzom will show that.

If your drivers are reinstalled properly and you are still having problems then try running 'check data' from the game launcher to see if any of the game files have a problem.

I did install the latest drivers last night (but overtop of the Beta ones).
I will uninstall my drivers and reinstall the new ones again.

I already did the 'check data' last night and it didnt find any problems.

I'm having the exact same problem. I think that the installation may have come with corrupt textures, so I'm going to download the client from another site and see how that goes.

I have the Retail Version of SOR, I preordered SOR and got it the day it was released. Havent played it since then though, but it was fine the day I first installed it way back then.

I am at work right now so I havent had a chance to try the driver reinstall yet, maybe give that a shot and let me know if it works ? Are you running an Nvidia card ?

Reinstalling didn't fix it. I'm loathe to mess with my drivers, and I know I've got the latest version of my drivers.

Have you tried going into options and changing your graphics settings? And if so, does that help at all?

Okay, I updated my drivers, and I've messed around with the in game settings to just about every combination possible, but to no avail. The game is still littered with missing textures.

How bizarre...

What are your computer specs?
