Wish List, What do you really desire? Time for some fun :)

Ok time for some fun. However before we start the fun of wishing what we like to see, please bear in mind that your suggestions should be 'possible' for nevrax to do sometime - perhaps when they get more support. There is no point asking too much, they already are a busy bunch - I can tell.

Example of what you should not post:- "drop atys, lets expand through space right away!"

Incidentally we are still waiting for Skippers dreams of producing Ships for the lake lands.. (that would be nice btw, go Skipper!) so let's be nice and ask something fun and possible in near future ^^

Most importantly remember that Nevrax has every right not to consider our suggestions, so don't feel discouraged if they don't. Just post for us all to see and discuss.

Ok I'll start off.... :)

1) Memory Management
Who would say no to a better RAM management? on good systems like mine it's hardly an issue. But several others with poor RAM surfer a lot and as you know ryzom is really really greedy on system resources. Wouldn't it be great if everyone gets to play with less hazels, well I think so ^^

2) Graphics Improvements
This is something that depends on ones own tastes. For me I just love detailed graphics. In my eyes graphics are everything. What I desire most in Ryzom are:

- Better lighting systems & Mild shader glow about things - not too heavy but a little to liven things up. All the latest games has it. For those that do not know what I mean by by shader glow check out GT-4 Mother Nature if you have 3D Mark 03. Or go here : http://usera.imagecave.com/Sesune/wl_ex_01.jpg

- Bring back desert sand storms! and Heatwaves and haze will be hot, I think. Also new blizzards sometimes in winter will be cool...in-fact freezing ^_~*

- Has anyone wondred why the waters in the lake lands remain untouched during winter? Surely it should be cold and difficult to move around... *becomes suspicious of mother Atys*

- I really like to see lots more faction elements around faction areas. Sparkly, Glittery and nice!

- When a character has something targeted and you face the camera in front of your character - its head keeps on nodding.. but visible only to the player who controls the character... really what's it nodding to? huh? :p

- Ok ok now lets become serious! Who had flatten the poor fihies in the lake lands? Shouldn't they have three dimensions? at least, I think so.

- Well established emote animations!

3) New Features
This is going to be really tough, each and everyone will want to see different features. Of course a company can't please everyone. But personally I would love to see the following:-

Interaction with Inanimate Entities
A good touch will always be to actually sit down on a clean chair... in bars, guild hall and more. Why sit down beside a chair? it seems silly that we should ruin our new outfits just because the chair is fixed to the table *sigh*

Why not actual pick-up-able scrolled messages? On picking up it would show up on our inventory just like the deliver message mission items but we could right-click and read if we want to. With that buying parchments from the tools merchant is nice too so that we can exchange secret messages amongst us ^_~* Or just accidentally drop it some where... umm how clumsy. OR we should just drop it to the local notice board for the public to read.

Hunger, Thirst & Tiresome
The Mektoubs become hungry and eventually run out of energy if not fed properly. But in the case of homins...wouldnt buying good food and fluids to please yourself be great? Of course we do that in role-play BUT I mean in-game. I propose a new GUI element, a gauge that shows your current energy and it will go down slowly depending on how much you work yourself running, fighting, casting affects it.. actually just about any physical activity. As we know each and every homin is a really tough cookie and their energy can last quite a while but in the situation where theie energy falls below 40% of their total the homins will use up extra effort in actions in casting costs, fighting costs, reduced running speed etc...

This will bring about lots of opportunities and the bars in towns will usually be filled with hard working homins quenching their thirst, having a bite or just having a good time. And the parties will never be the same. Just imagine the bars with a good menu with excellent selection? not to mention the real value it brings to dappers.

In treks and long events the homins will have to stock their supplies and much more. Also in full energy a little bonus wouldn't hurt, gives a good reason to be physically energized.

Introduction of all the rites
That would be nice, even more with R2 infrastructure re-doing all of the missions and rites to be more challenging and nice would be very good!

----------

Ok that's all from me at the moment, what do you guys have in mind? lets discuss and get the creativity going. *^^*

i think the mp3 player needs to be improved, including the creation of tracklists. Was mentioned once what program could be used to make them for ryzom, but i forgot :)

ingame RL clock also missing, obviously shouldn`t be there as default but would love to have that option.

You're gonna disappointed, Neva. Even if they give you pets, I'll bet ya a dapper or 2 that they won't be kinchers. :p

Spaces allowed in character names, so my Zorai can have a name with the same cultural flavor as the Zorai NPCs. I haven't played long enough to want anything else yet. :D

drop atys, lets expand through space right away!

Seriously, I want that to happen someday. And I want offspring implemented. I want more areas to discover, deeper into the roots and the canopies too. Maybe not more levels but definately more crafting branches.

All the latest games has it.
That's because it's a fad. ;)

- Any race can purchase any race's hairstyles.

- Sitting in chairs.

- Laying down.

- Spaces and capital letters in character names (for example, Kian Shi >_<).

- Pet yubos that can teleport with you (you'd have to be able to pick them up and hold them).

- Mektoubs able to graze for food. Also, gubani mounts! :p

- Playlisting in MP3 Player.

- Hiding of that damn target reticle. That reticle causes me more annoyance than anything. I end up having to retake video recordings over and over because the cursor passes across a mob or someone gets in front of me...

- Boats in Liberty Lake.

- Ability to add custom information to one's own "INFO" window.

- Emote animations that are not linked to text.

A way to "resync" the network connection if it times out (like when my pings hit the 10K range and Telia hiccups). Hate having to quit the game ENTIRELY and restart it. Takes for freakin' EVER!

Pets (Yeah, I want the Kincher! :D )

Smaller collision zone around static structures. Why can't I get up to the tree trunk, but I can walk right through the yelk's Buttocks? (yech..)
