A great race?

I was thinking about maybe hosting a race.. for the slighty higher end players.. a run, on foot from Pyr to yrkanis.. Here haveing level 250 skills will only help you out a bit.. its more about cunning and being able to agro dodge and ability to trek well and fast...

the basic idea is that all enterants pay X amount (1mill dapper.. or 10 sup mats whatever. thats not important) and run SOLO (no teams) from pyr to yrkanis.. no porting, the good thing about this trek is there are a varity of way to run through some of the area's and if you are first when u hoit a great big bunch of agro. well means the homins slighty furter behind will have an easier time while the Kittins run after you ;)

The winner get all of the loot. so could be very profitable for a certian homin..

If there is not enough intrest from this thread ill try again in a couple of months ;) but if there is plenty of intrest i could spend my time to make this a (semi)regular 'event'..
anyways there is a poll at the top so u can share your views and please feel free to comment/suggest on how to make things fair/better/different route/etc

or just PM me here or ingame or send an ingame mail..

I'm fast! I would sign up if I had the dappers, but I just bought my apartment.

I'll come for the betting though.

I'm sure I'd die many a horrible death, but I'm game.

Well, count me in if you ever plan it. First thing that came to mind though, why such an easy route? Pyr -> Yrk or the other way around is the easiest capital to capital trek... I've trekked newer guildies on that route on my own, without any problems. Wouldn't anything involving Fairhaven or PR be more challenging? (Fairhaven cause of Loria/PR between any other capital)

Just food for thought though, I'd be in on any race if the reward is acceptable.

bah :( too bad I have a crappy comp :( no way(atleast highly unlikely) I could win with my lag :(

besides it can't really be very fair :P .

Back in the days on Windemeer, we had fun with the races Takashi set up... This can definately be fun, but the rules need to be a tad more stringent as well as enforcement plans. The sheer distance of this event should be more a long term goal due to all the complications... make the first one smaller... have heats/qualifications. Something this large is a task to manage... I also suggest checkpoints to avoid any shenanigans :P

Count me into something with more substance !

You didn't put up the option, "i would love to take part, but can't because I cannot dodge aggro."

I could help you some other way though Tyilin.

I've only just begun playing, so there's probably no way I could afford the entry fee, but I think it's a great idea. If I were able, I would definitely participate.

I cant take part cause I cant run very fast.. (A silly rp reason, in reality I have my cousins very very poor connection - pings may go up to 200 to 6000! unpredictable really ^^')

But I would take part if everything is fine, but I'm not at all high-level though. *sigh*

And even if I do become high level in future the only skills that I will focus is Healing & Afflictions thus will have poor hp and doges to withstand aggro assaults but... I like to be vulnerable..
