Bug?

Anyone that's harvested nodes will remember the clouds of green gas that sometimes pops up and lasts for quite a while. If you stand in the cloud, you will quickly die.
Well, I was in the hunting grounds and harvesting a resource node when a cloud popped up. I finished harvesting and moved away.
Bug is, a line of Bodocs was moving through the cloud but not taking any damage.
Or is that a feature?

It's normal.
I've heard you can gain their invulnerability to gas clouds by performing a ritual dance to court the favour of the Bodoc God...

Naw, its a little illogic feature. *shrug*
One may assume that, in favor of the devs, the Animals over time developed an immunity to these environmental hazzards

Would be realy great though if they too took damage. It´s the same with the bodocs Spore Cloud, it kills homins but not predators.
Well, maybe they´ll do something about it someday.

There's an answer regarding this somewhere in the ages old Q&A sessions... basically had to do with balancing I think *shrug*

Side note, found another item that may be a bug. I prospected near a tree. The node popped up right against the tree and when I tried to harvest it, I couldn't get close enough, like there was an invisible fence keeping me a meter or two too far from the node.
That one was annoying

There is something in the bodoc diet that makes them invulnerable to gas clouds... it also makes them fat and dumb.
And it tastes like... well, I wouldn't know how it tastes, would I? The gas is killing me too. ;D

Tree collisions are too large.

You can injure mektoubs with gas clouds, though, I wouldnt suggest doing it, as GMs don't like when you do it.

But that only works on domesticated mektoubs like packers and mounts. I guess the eat something different if they roam free than the stuff they get from the stable boys.
