everything i see is great so far but was wondering bout a few things
1) jumping, is there any? any talk of adding?

2) you can combine any skills and make almost any classes this way but can you be a rogue/thief type? or say a pet type class, mage (eq1) or necro?

3) swimming and water effects are sweet, but is there diving? if so is there underwater content?

4) falling damage? i assume there is none, cause on noob island there isnt any but was thinking to make it safer for us noobs they dont let us fall to our deaths :) is the real game this way too?

Any info would be great!! I have in my short time found SoR players to be some of the most mature and helpful mmo players ive ever seen!!!!

thanks in advance!!

No and not that I've heard.

A "class" is a construct in your head. Ryzom deals in skills. What skill are you looking for? If the game has it, we can tell you that.
3) swimming and water effects are sweet, but is there diving? if so is there underwater content?
Nope. There was talk of it in early pre-release info, but nothing came of it.
4) falling damage? i assume there is none, cause on noob island there isnt any but was thinking to make it safer for us noobs they dont let us fall to our deaths :) is the real game this way too?
Can't fall really, so no.

Let' s have a go at this. ;)

1. Nope, no jumping.

2. There' s no such thing as classes in SoR, only skills. It is thus possible to learn any number of skills that would fit the archetype of the 'class' you had in mind. There is no pets, so no pet skills; necromancy doesn' t have it' s place on Atys; and thieves and rogues is more up to Roleplaying than skills. Unless you mean sneaking around through hoards of mobs or haggling a lot on prices, but those would be more player skills. :p

3. No diving, no underwater content.

3. Nope, no falling damage either.

Sneaking in this game is limited to learning how to avoid walking into the agro and moving out of the agro's path before he eats you. In other words, it's a real skill, but not a game skill that you can level.

Sorry, no pets. Also has been discussed, but nothing definitive has been said.
