Greetings I am trying out the free trial (having been a beta tester for this game and wanted to see how it was now). The problem I am having is I keep getting the blue screen of death or my pc will reboot out of nowhere. I also play eq2 and swg with no problems, so this is the only game that is causing this particular problem.

I have 2 gigs of ram, ati x850 card, newest ati drivers.

THe game was doing ok today, but now getting random reboots, and access violation errors. Really enjoying the game, but can't play it for too long..someone please give me some ideas on what to do..thankyou

Hiya Kyarai. If you haven't yet, you might give this a try: http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15428 and if that doesn't help, consider trying out the live support tool as you might find help quicker in there.

Random reboots and BSODs are caused by a few things:

- RAM needs checking
http://www.memtest86.com has a good app for running RAM checks

- loose cards or cables

- drivers are really off
-- reinstall drivers properly (remove, reboot, reinstall)
-- do not use omega or beta drivers if possible

- heat issues
-- get some canned air and clean out the cooling fins and fans
-- check to make sure that all fans rotate freely

- viruses or malware
-- make sure your system is free of nasties and that you have all the latest Windows updates

- and occaisionally the power supply is flaky and starts to break down under load
-- this one is subtle and hard to diagnose

Just thought i would tell you what my problem was. Though other games ran fine, I did check my 2 sticks of ram, put them in the other 2 available slots, and now i am having no problem at all. It looks like one of those slots went bad. Thanks for all the tips and help
