In my experience people who ask that are already almost leaving the game... if you can't see it, if you don't have close friends who can share what they do with you, then probably it's ... dunno, not your game, not your game at this precise moment, maybe later... anyway, it's a question that has created a thread on our forums time ago. If you think it helps feel free to have a look...:

There is plenty to do. PvE offers you lots of hunting for your skills. Believe me those Gingos in Yrkanis will keep you busy enough, it will be sweet when you finally run by them and realize you can whack them and live to tell us about it.
Atys is a big world. I do not think you will get bored. For the scouter in you and after you work your fame some I suggest you do a world trek and see the beautiful world you live in. You might even get to see some Boss roaming about and get your first taste of what it takes to kill one. You need a good team for that BTW. You will learn good hunting spots and foraging spots too.
When you get to the Prime Roots your jaw will drop and your skin will chill by the feeling of eminent danger. Especially when you realize you can be kill not only by agro but by other homins.
But not all of Atys is a war zone and the community is very helpful. You will find that most homins care about the world they live in and will see how hard they work to make it a better place for all.
If you get bored of the grind then is time for self indulgence. If you like to RP visit the bath house in Pyr and relax while chatting with the locals. You might even get to meet a friendly fyrosian female to keep you company, or a bubbly Trykeret. There is always Thesos pub on a good Tuesday; there you can find homins from all regions letting their hair down. The conversations will range from politics to crafting to gambling, all under the influence of the finest imported firewines that make your eyes roll back.
If your talent is crafting and a pick is your weapon, you will stink like the stable boy, and you must love the dirt. Digging for mats in the ground is hard work but rewarding none the less. You will see this when you make the first pair of boots, then upgrade to weapons, jewels, shields, etc. You will dance like a fool when the merchant buys even your crappies items. And you will sing a lullaby all the way to the bank when players start buying your crafted items.
Over all I do not think boredom exists in a homins vocabulary. Nope.
BTW welcome to Atys.
