Question about 4-day patch and 7-day trial

I signed up for the 7-day trial on 6/8. I see now that the server will be down from from 6/12-6/15. The notice says that a 4-day credit will be given to all accounts. Does this apply to the trial accounts as well as paid ones, or did my 7-day trial just become a 4-day?

not an offical response, but if the worst happens sign up again for a new trial - there will be a whole new newbie experience after the patch, probably with half the old timers exploring it as well

Yeah, I sure am glad that I left my newbie helper there... She has lots of screenshots and info to get for me

If I am not mistaken, Nevrax plans to change the free trial for the new starter island (NPE): unlimited trial -- apparently without time, xp or other limits -- as long as you stay there. Once you move to the main land, you will need to have a regular account. What I still don't know it if you still have a free trial period once you move to the main land (e.g. the current 7 day limit)

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens come Thursday (or so...does "4-day" patch really mean "4 days", or might it be longer?).
I was planning to leave for the mainland, but I guess I'll wait until after the patch. If I can continue playing for a while on my existing trial that's great; if not, I'll just make another account and start from scratch.

Nevrax has sometimes been able to bring the servers back online in less time than they told us they would take

This being such a major patch though, I would guess that if they get ahead of themselves they're more likely to use any extra time to make even more tests before going live.

fingers crossed the 4 days is if everything goes tits up and they have to recreate the shards by hand with pencils and lots of paper, and less when it all goes swimmingly

"Mister Scott, I need the Warp Drive back online in 4 hours!"
"I canea do that Cap´n. I´ll need at least 10 Hours."
"Make it 6!"
"Okay Cap´n"...

"And then you make it in 3 and your Cap´n loves you."

Shhh! What happened when Kirk let on that he had some idea about how Scotty made his estimations? Scotty's estimations doubled again to accomodate
Next little patch could be 10 days downtime!
(I know double 4 is 8, but to an engineer anything between 6 and 36 is just about precisely 2x4 exactly)

Is there an established set of rules of ettiquette here that pertain to how soon we can start the "when's the server comming back up?" threads?
I realize the schedule calls for 4(ish) days of downtime but when exactly did that clock start? and are we supposed to waite a full 24x4 hours? or is it 4 sunsets or should it be 4 sunrises?
