Hey all nice to meet you , Im ynyror a noob tryker.
I have a few questions ,
What is the deal with stanzas i have looked everywhere and cant get a good explantion of them or what they do or how to work them.
I have picke up a lot od different crafting skills ( i love to craft ) should i just work on one and pick up plans , or would you pick up like melee carfting 2 befor you pick up plans
Is ranged that bad > i like making the guns and stuff but finding ammo casing is hard for me right now
right now im fight 17 magic 6 harvest 15 and craft 12 I have left the noob island and wonder if that was a bad choice?
I have messed up by picking some skillis in each group that are not really in my lvl 1-4 should i re roll or just grind it out .
How you get higher levels to havest different stuff?
Sorry for all the questions , i really like the game but was woundering if ishoud just rerol to kinda close in on my crafting stuff , i have picked up , ranged, melee ,ammo , and of cource i have armor , but have no new plans .
I like ranged fighting but everyone syad that its stupid to pick up skill in crafting why?
thanks in advanced , im really thining about subscribing and dont want to wat my time having to reroll ......

Welcome to Atys, Ynyror!
The stanzas are the building blocks by which you build actions. You can mix and match various stanzas to make the best actions for any given occasion. For instance, you will want to combine accurate attack and increase damage to have the best effect in melee combat against tough mobs.
I think Melinoe's beginner's guide describes combining stanzas well, (you may need to register):

You should pick up crafting 2. You need to conserve your crafting skills points in the beginning until the skill trees open up. Hold off on getting more plans until after you have gotten the necessary crafting level upgrades.

Many people enjoy range! But range is tough to increase as your primary combat skill, imo. It is easier to increase melee and/or magic first, then come back to range. Range is slower because you will have to dig mats and craft your own ammo.

You have plenty of levels to be on the mainland now. There is no need to reroll! You will want to increase all of those skills at some point. You cannot make a mistake by increasing any skill - it has no negative effect on your other skills. You can make unwise use of skill points - but just grind some more to get more skill points. You can get lots of good advice from the helpful homins to be found on the mainland.

You can harvest all the necessary materials now outside of Fairhaven. Only the amber pops by itself, you have to prospect to find the other materials. You get more experience points by prospecting your own sources. They are difficult to find at low levels, so you might ask some to show you some mat spots and mark them on your map.
Hope that helps! Hope you enjoy the wonderful lakelands. See you around Fairhaven.

One of the really good things about character advancement in this game is that you really cant "gimp" your characters. You might temporarily inconvenience yourself but no long term hassles.
There's never really a need to re-roll a toon. If you get tired of doing something, just start doing the other things.
If you start out wanting to major in crafting but later decide fighting looks funner...then start fighting.
If you feel specializing in the healer role sounds fun but later you get impressed by the casters, harvesters, fighters, shooters or crafters? No problem. Just start doing it.
