The shard is closed ???????? error after patch

It is now7.50pm in the uk, there server statues says open, I logged in and the new patch started to down load, it finished. i entered my password, clicked the accept agreement and a box appears saying
" Error : Shard is closed "
Now the game wont run, and it was working fine before the patch ?
Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yup im getting the Exact same thing, tried a restart didnt work. so whats up with it?

Just read another message in another forum, aparently, this always happens after a patch, and we now wait for the server to become fully active/up and running .!
Am i gona get to play this tonight ?

I thought the server was supposed to be back up by 1700....

Well, its now saying status is offline.
Time to catch up with some DVDs I think.
